Kelly A. Testa is a Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office in Camden, New Jersey. She also serves as Section Chief of the Special Victims Unit, where she leads investigations involving sexual and physical abuse against children in Camden County. Since joining the Office in January 2001, Testa has also served in the Homicide, Shooting Response Team, Narcotics, High-Tech Crimes, Major Crimes, Domestic Violence, Trial Team, Juvenile, and Motions Units.

Over the course of her career, Testa has tried many complex cases involving homicide, sexual assault, child abuse, the manufacturing, distribution and possession of child sexual abuse materials, narcotics, robbery, aggravated assault, weapons offenses, and official misconduct.

Testa also serves as a legal advisor to all police departments in Camden County. She is also a certified instructor for the Camden County Police Academy, where she regularly trains recruits on courtroom testimony and the laws pertaining to child abuse. In 2018, she received the Director’s Recognition Award from the Camden County Police Academy for her commitment to and the training of law enforcement. She is also an instructor for the NJ Attorney General’s Advocacy Institute, Trial Advocacy Training.

Testa received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and History from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in New Brunswick and her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden.
