Washington, D.C. — The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) announced its annual award winners during the Virtual 2020 NAAG Capital Forum on Dec. 2.
Montana Attorney General and 2020 NAAG President Tim Fox was the recipient of the Kelley-Wyman Award, the Association’s most prestigious honor, given annually to the attorney general who has done the most to achieve NAAG’s objectives.
The Attorney General Senior Staff of the Year Award is given to those who have provided exceptional service to NAAG and the attorneys general through exemplary leadership, expertise, and achievement. This year’s award was presented to:
- Loren AliKhan, solicitor general, District of Columbia Attorney General’s Office
- Christiana Grossi, chief deputy, Michigan Attorney General’s Office
- Mike Myers, senior counsel, New York Attorney General’s Office
The Attorney General Career Staff of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have helped advance the work of attorneys general through creativity, perseverance, dedication, and commitment. This year’s award was presented to:
- Michael Leftwich, deputy attorney general, Tennessee Attorney General’s Office
- Jenni Peacock, senior assistant attorney general, Tennessee Attorney General’s Office
- Charles Saunders, assistant attorney general, Arkansas Attorney General’s Office
- Paul Singer, senior counsel, Texas Attorney General’s Office
- Barbara Whaley, assistant attorney general, Kentucky Attorney General’s Office
The National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI), the training and research arm of NAAG, annually recognizes NAGTRI faculty members who have significantly contributed to developing and presenting quality legal training for their counterparts in attorney general offices. The recipient of the 2020 Outstanding NAGTRI Faculty Award is:
- Stephanie Caldwell, assistant attorney general, Nebraska Attorney General’s Office
