The Idaho Office of the Attorney General is looking for a highly motivated attorney to serve as the Deputy Solicitor General for the Office of the Solicitor General. The Office of the Solicitor General oversees all appellate litigation in the Office of the Attorney General in both state and federal court.

Salary: Starting at $130,000 to Depends on Experience (DOE)

Responsibilities
The Deputy Solicitor General can expect to draft appellate briefs, dispositive motions, and Attorney General Opinions; coordinate with other states’ attorney general offices on multistate efforts; manage day-to-day litigation matters; and research, analyze, and consult on other issues of importance to the Attorney General and other constitutional officers. The Deputy Solicitor General can also expect to present oral arguments in front of the Ninth Circuit and the Idaho Supreme Court.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have at least four years of legal experience and will have completed a clerkship.
