Blake Bee is director of the NAGTRI Center for Leadership Development. The Center supports supervisory staff in state and territorial attorneys general offices by providing a cohesive learning experience in areas of managerial leadership, with opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills needed to work through everyday challenges.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi in 2004 and a Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007. He began his practice at the law firm of Adams and Reese LLP in Jackson, Mississippi, in the Transactions and Corporate Advisory Services practice group. In January of 2009, he joined the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office as a special assistant attorney general in the Consumer Protection Division. Most recently, Blake was executive counsel in the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office. As executive counsel, Blake coordinated the attorney general’s public policy matters and oversaw the attorney general’s legislative program. He also reviewed and made recommendations to the attorney general on issues such as gaming, consumer protection, opioid abuse, social media, intellectual property, and cyber-crime. He is admitted to practice before all Mississippi courts both state and federal. He joined the NAGTRI Center for Consumer Protection in June of 2017 where he was editor of the Center for Consumer Protection Monthly newsletter, staff counsel to the Veterans Affairs and Internet Safety/Cyber Privacy and Security Committees, and co-lead of the NAGTRI International Fellows program. He became director of the NAGTRI Center for Leadership Development in March of 2020.
In June of 2021, he received his Executive Certificate in Leadership from the University of Notre Dame.
