The Justice Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office has an immediate opening for a prosecuting attorney on the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) team. The successful candidate will be part of a team that works to protect children in Utah by prosecuting cases involving CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material, sometimes referred to as child pornography), child sexual abuse, enticement of a minor, and other sexual offenses against children.

The successful candidate will have several in-person court appearances per week including oral arguments and evidentiary hearings. This attorney will also work closely with law enforcement by reviewing warrants weekly.

The ICAC team has cases throughout Utah but the majority of these cases are along the Wasatch Front. This position requires the attorney to read police reports summarizing CSAM. Occasionally, the attorney will need to view these materials. To support the mental health and resilience of the attorney, supportive sessions with a mental health professional are required.  Although not for everyone, for the right candidate this position offers the opportunity for deeply meaningful, challenging legal advocacy in a supportive environment.
