A New Member Benefit Begins February 17
NAAG is pleased to announce the launch of a new bi-monthly eDiscovery Workshop Series, a member benefit designed specifically for the attorney general community. Beginning February 17, 2026, this webinar series will provide practical, timely training to help attorney general offices navigate the evolving landscape of electronic discovery with greater confidence.
Why Electronic Evidence Touches Nearly Every Case
Electronic evidence now touches nearly every aspect of modern litigation. From emails and text messages to social media, cloud-based platforms, and mobile devices, eDiscovery is no longer a niche area reserved for specialists. A working understanding of eDiscovery has become essential for attorneys, paralegals, investigators, and litigation support staff alike. Yet many public sector legal teams face unique challenges, including limited resources, expanding data sources, and increasing expectations from courts and opposing counsel.
Responding to a High-Demand Training Need
This new series responds directly to a high-demand training need across attorney general offices nationwide. When legal teams are unfamiliar with eDiscovery fundamentals, the consequences can be significant, ranging from increased costs and inefficiencies to missed strategic opportunities or even sanctions. The eDiscovery Workshop Series is designed to help attorney general offices keep pace with current practices and, in many areas, stay ahead of private law firms that often have greater resources and technological advantages.
Designed by and for the Attorney General Community
The series is intentionally designed by and for the attorney general community. Each session is tailored to the realities of public sector litigation and investigations, drawing on examples, challenges, and solutions that resonate with attorney general offices. Participants will hear from leading eDiscovery experts in the country, including experienced professionals from both within and outside the attorney general community, who will share real-world lessons learned, current trends, and practical guidance.
What to Expect: 75 Minutes of Practical, Timely Training
Each 75-minute session will feature a rotating guest speaker and will be offered every other month beginning in February 2026. The programming is intended for attorneys, paralegals, investigators, litigation support professionals, and technical staff, recognizing that eDiscovery responsibilities often span multiple roles within an office. Topics will include the foundations and lifecycle of eDiscovery, preservation obligations and legal hold best practices, collection of mobile data, social media, and cloud-based content, review and production under Rule 34 and state analogs, sanctions risks and common pitfalls, and emerging trends and new technologies.
Helping Attorney General Offices Prepare for Modern Litigation
Through this new eDiscovery Workshop Series, NAAG aims to ensure the attorney general community is prepared for the realities of modern litigation. By strengthening foundational knowledge, building confidence, and delivering insights from top experts, this series reflects NAAG’s continued commitment to providing relevant, forward-looking training that helps attorney general offices meet today’s challenges and prepare for what lies ahead.
