This year’s conference will begin with a full day open to the public, featuring sessions that bring together consumer advocates, industry representatives, and government partners to explore key trends and challenges in consumer protection.

The following two days will be reserved exclusively for attorneys general and their staff.

We’re excited to convene leaders from across the country to share insights, strengthen collaboration, and advance the work of protecting consumers in an evolving marketplace!

Public Day Draft Agenda Topics

  • Deceptive Practices Update – Legal update on recent state consumer protection legislation on vaping, privacy, ultra-processed foods, and other hot topics.
  • Federal Student Loans in Transition – Borrower Impact.
  • Consumer Debt Collection – Consumer complaints, trends, and enforcement priorities as the federal and state regulatory landscape continues to evolve.
  • Attorney General Panel – A bipartisan panel of attorneys general discuss current consumer protection issues.
  • Full Disclosure: Price Transparency Laws – Shining some light on laws regarding hidden fees, undisclosed charges, and junk fees.
  • Legal Ethics – Earn an hour of ethics credit during this interactive session.
  • Consumer Product Safety Commission Update from Acting Chair, Peter A. Feldman

Scholarship Nominations

NAAG will provide a one scholarship per attorney general office for in-person attendance. Offices are not guaranteed a slot, though every effort is made to accept nominees from as many offices as possible.
