Charities frequently call on regulators to review proposals meant to mitigate some challenge that impedes a charity’s administration of its assets. Whether the charity is seeking to modify a donor restriction or is considering new or novel ways to spend and invest endowment assets, regulators need to know how common law, uniform statutes, and state specific enactments direct the proper outcome for the charities they oversee.
In this program, presenters will review applicable law and discuss the myriad scenarios charities and their regulators encounter, including donor restrictions and how to modify them; endowment fund administration and availability; and standards of conduct for investing charitable assets.
