In 2018, Kansas Attorney General and then-NAAG President Derek Schmidt’s Presidential Initiative was “Protecting America’s Seniors: Attorneys General United Against Elder Abuse.” That same year, NAAG partnered with the U.S. Department of Justice to coordinate the then-largest coordinated sweep of elder fraud cases ever. In 2019, NAAG partnered once again with the Justice Department and surpassed the previous year’s record by conducting the largest coordinated elder fraud sweep in history.
