The Office is one of Minnesota’s largest public law offices and as of 2024, has been recognized as a Star Tribune Top Workplace Minnesota for three years in a row and Top Workplace USA for three years in a row.

The Office is seeking a highly capable individual with the skills and drive to work on behalf of the public in improving the quality of healthcare and education for all Minnesotans by providing legal representation to the State’s health-related licensing boards and the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (“PELSB”) in their resolution of complaints alleging misconduct by healthcare providers and educators.  The Office’s Health and Teacher Licensing Division represents Minnesota’s 16 health-related licensing boards and PELSB in litigation and administrative actions related to the boards’ licensure and regulatory oversight of healthcare providers and educators.  Key functions of this position include providing legal representation to the boards at meetings and disciplinary conferences, in contested cases at the Office of Administrative Hearings, and in matters in district and appellate courts.
