Manufacturer of Beanie Babies toys agreed to pay $50,000 to settle allegations that the company, Ty Inc. improperly forced a
retailer to set prices for the Beanie Baby product line. The company denied the allegations and under the agreement admits no wrongdoing. In addition to the payment to the state, the company also agreed to reinstate a retailer, Tybran Inc., as a seller of the Beanie Baby product, provided it changes its trade name to a name that is acceptable to the company.
