Case Description
States and Federal Trade Commission investigated regional impact of merger between two prominent grocery store chains and reached agreement that supplemented terms agreed to between merging parties and FTC. Following the merger, FTC and States alleged, inter alia, that acquiring party did not adequately maintain properties to be divested. Subsequent settlements were reached by the FTC and the States resolving those concerns and making certain properties more marketable for divestiture or subleases.
