Case Description
The State of Florida investigated Americrown Services Corporation (Americrown), a subsidiary of International Speedway Corporation, for alleged price fixing by imposing a minimum pricing schedule upon any vendor selling merchandise on Americrown’s Speedway property. The state alleged that if a vendor did not adhere to the pricing schedule, it would lose its right to operate on the Speedway’s premises. In order to resolve the dispute, Americrown discontinued use of the minimum pricing schedule prior to commencement of the litigation, and the defendant company agreed to make a $75,000 donation to a treatment center to initiate an after-care program at the Volusia County Sheriff’s Juvenile Boot Camp program
