Case Description
Plaintiff State sought damages and injunctive relief, alleging that Defendant, New York State Society of Ophthalmic Dispensers, Inc., boycotted eyeglass lens and frame manufacturers that participated in pre-paid vision care plans. In response to the State’s allegations, the parties entered a final judgment in which Defendant was permanently enjoined and restrained from entering any contract or agreement to cause any eye care provider to refuse to deal with eye glass lens and frame manufacturers which participate in vision benefit plans.
