Case Description
Supplier of radiology services contacted radiologist who had successfully bid on contracts with state prisons in the past. The supplier offered to divide the markets, with one taking northern California and the other taking southern California. The supplier was sued under California’s Unfair Competition Law, Business & Professions Code section 17200, which prohibits proposals to engage in acts of unfair competition. The matter was jointly investigated and settled by the California Attorney General’s Office and the San Diego District Attorney’s Office
