Cynthia (Cindy) Mahon is a Supervising Assistant Attorney General in the Child Protection Department at the Office of the Attorney General in Connecticut. Cindy joined the Office of the Attorney General in 2007. Prior to joining the OAG, Cindy was a litigation associate at Pepe & Hazard in Hartford, Connecticut and served as a law clerk at the Connecticut Appellate Court.

Cindy earned her undergraduate degree at Connecticut College. While in college, Cindy was awarded the Truman Scholarship for her commitment to a career in public service. In addition, she spent a semester in Washington, D.C. and had the honor of serving as an intern at the Supreme Court of the United States. She received her law degree at Suffolk University School of Law. While at Suffolk, Cindy competed nationally in mock trial competitions. She was the New England Regional Champion in 2005 and was the recipient of the Judy Potter Best Advocate Award.

Cindy currently serves on the Central Connecticut Multi-Disciplinary Team’s Executive Committee and previously served on the Task Force to Study the State-Wide Response to Minors Exposed to Domestic Violence.

Cindy and her husband, Colin, are lifelong Red Sox Fans and are raising their two children as members of Red Sox nation. In addition to cheering for the Sox, they enjoy skiing and hiking with their golden retriever, Vance.
