Jared Q. Libet is an Assistant Deputy Attorney General with the Office of the South Carolina Attorney General in Columbia, South Carolina. As part of the Consumer Protection & Antitrust Section, he works primarily to enforce South Carolina laws pertaining to unfair trade practices and antitrust issues. Mr. Libet currently serves as co-chair of the South Carolina Bar’s Judicial Qualifications Committee. He also serves as President of the Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Columbia, South Carolina and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Glee Club Alumni and Friends Association in Charlottesville, Virginia. Mr. Libet earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2006. While in law school, he was the technology editor of the South Carolina Law Review. In 2003, Mr. Libet earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems and Information Engineering with a minor in Economics from the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science.
