Jeffrey Blumberg is a seasoned litigator, teacher and trial advocacy trainer with expertise in civil rights, international development, fair lending/consumer protection, and criminal justice issues. He has litigated complex, high-profile cases around the country as a federal prosecutor with the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice and now with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Mr. Blumberg, a faculty member for the George Washington University Law School College of Trial Advocacy, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, is also an experienced trainer having taught trial skills at the Office of the Maryland Public Defender, the Department of Justice, and the National Advocacy Center. He also has extensive international experience having served as an Army JAG in Korea and Japan along with working on access to justice issues as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize and conducting trainings with Lawyers Without Borders. He is the recipient of the highest civilian honor awarded by the Department of the Justice, the Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service.
