Faculty, Center for Consumer Protection

Jessica is the Deputy Attorney General for Public Protection of the Iowa Attorney General’s Office.  In that position she serves as the Director of the Consumer Protection Division and the Administrator of the Iowa Consumer Credit Code.  She became the Deputy Attorney General for Public Protection in January 2021, after having served her first 11 years in the office as an Assistant Attorney General in the Division, and then 5.5 years as the Director of the Division.  Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, she was a litigation attorney with the Dorsey & Whitney Law Firm in Minneapolis.  In 2016, Jessica received the Career Staff of the Year Award from the National Association of Attorneys General for her work on multistate cases.  Jessica is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and of Grinnell College.
