Jessica Whitney is a Special Assistant Attorney General and the Director of the Consumer Protection Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s Office. In that position she serves as the Administrator of the Iowa Consumer Credit Code. She became Director in July 2015, after having served 11 years in the office as an Assistant Attorney General in the Division, with the bulk of her focus being consumer credit issues. Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, she was a litigation attorney with the Dorsey & Whitney Law Firm in Minneapolis. In 2016, Jessica received the Career Staff of the Year Award from the National Association of Attorneys General for her work on multistate cases. She is currently the President of the American Conference of Uniform Consumer Credit Code States. Jessica is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and of Grinnell College.
