Jessica Whitney is a Deputy Attorney General in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office where she oversees divisions with a consumer protection focus. Prior to joining the Minnesota Attorney General, Jessica served for over 18 years in the Iowa Attorney General’s Office. In Iowa Jessica was the Deputy Attorney General for Public Protection. She also served as the Director of the Consumer Protection Division and the Administrator of the Iowa Consumer Credit Code for over 7 years. She spent her first 11 years in the Iowa office as an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Division. Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, she was a litigation attorney with the Dorsey & Whitney Law Firm in Minneapolis. In 2016, Jessica received the Career Staff of the Year Award from the National Association of Attorneys General for her work on multistate cases. Jessica is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and of Grinnell College.
