WHO: The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), with a membership comprised of the 56 state, District of Columbia and territory attorneys general, will host its annual Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C. Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry is the 2018-2019 NAAG president.
WHAT: Forty-three attorneys general will meet in Washington, D.C. to discuss topics including the data economy, 3D printing, ethics and free speech law. Tuesday is the annual U.S. Supreme Court Perspectives luncheon where two of the nation’s leading Supreme Court practitioners offer insight into cases before the Court.
Top federal officials scheduled to speak include Senator Ben Sasse, chairman of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts, FTC Chairman Joe Simons, FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb and FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich.
The NAAG presidential initiative topic, “Emergency and Crisis Management” will be covered in a panel session titled, “Natural Disaster Mortgage Issues.”
