WHO: The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) will host its annual Summer Meeting in Big Sky, Mont.
WHAT: State and territorial attorneys general will convene with key staff, other government officials and corporate, association and academic representatives to discuss legal issues addressing health care, the Internet of Things, self-driving cars and natural disasters. There will also be an update on this term’s U.S. Supreme Court cases and the William H. Sorrell Lecture Series on tobacco policy and enforcement.
Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, former Montana attorney general, will offer opening remarks, and Chief Thomas Tidwell of the U.S. Forest Service will speak.
NAAG will elect its new slate of officers for 2017-2018 and host its annual awards ceremony to recognize the work of those who contribute to the Office of the Attorney General and the Association. This includes NAAG’s most prestigious honor, the Kelley-Wyman Award, bestowed each year upon an attorney general who has done the most to achieve the Association’s objectives.
WHEN: Tuesday, June 20 through Thursday, June 22 until 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. First session begins at Noon Mountain Time on Tuesday.
